I've really enjoyed the images posted during May to my 365 project. I definitely spend a lot of time at the coast during May each year which is very much reflected in the images. My 2020 calendars are now nearly complete and will be going to the printers later this Month.

I've really enjoyed the images posted during April to my 365 project. The colours are becoming greener and the light changing to become clearer as we move through the seasons from winter into spring.

I spent the Easter weekend break on the Yorkshire Coast with the family in Filey. The weather all weekend was fantastic with bright sunshine and barely a cloud in the sky! When on the east coast I always try to make it up for one sunrise which on this occasion was a very cold but bright Saturday morning.

I've reached the end of the first month of my 2019 Nickscape 365 Project having posted 31 landscape from my archives each day for January. I've had a great response to the images on Social Media. I've tried to mix up the images keeping the winter theme with some traditional landscapes with some more personal images from my trips mixed in for variety. The images highlight my trips over the years to all corners of the British Isles, judging by the images, the Scottish Highlands is definitely a favourite of mine for winter scenery.

I've spent a fair amount of time over the Christmas break working through my images making sure they are organised and removing those no longer needed. For each day of 2019 I've decided to post an image at random to match the season from my extensive back catalogue.

I'm currently working on a long-term project to capture the landscapes around my local area. I often walk around the local area at the weekends thinking that a lot of the landscape would make great photographs if lighting was correct.

Every year in autumn I make at least one trip to the English Lake District, To capture the glorious autumn colours. This year I managed to get to the Lake District at the end of October just as the colours were coming to be their best.It's always difficult to choose a location in the Lake District as there are so many places which offer so many opportunities.This year,I decided to base myself next to Ullswater lake.

I'm pleased to announce the launch of my popular 2019 British Landscapes calendar priced at £10 (+£2.50 postage). Each month features a full A4 scenic photograph along with a practical dates grid highlighting UK holidays & events.

During the first weekend in September I took an opportunity for a long weekend on the south coast of England with the aim of capturing the Sussex coastline. Being based in Brighton gave me great access to the pier and beach for sunsets and I also spent the days touring along the coastline towards Kent stopping at some of the popular and less well known locations.

I always aim to enjoy a long weekend in the UK Lake District national park each June. I find June to be the perfect time of year to capture the Lake District in the summer season as the scenery has had time to develop to a beautiful green without becoming overgrown.

I've just returned from a 3 day trip to the South Devon Coastline capturing images utilising natural daylight to add to my stock image library. We based ourselves in Torquay and spent the time travelling around many of the popular tourist destinations including pretty harbour towns and coastal estuaries. The weather on the trip was fantastic and by using a polarising filter to enhance and deepen the colours. the whole set of images have a really crisp and bright holiday feel.

My second major photography trip for 2018 was a first for me with a trip across the water to explore the glorious landscape of Southern Ireland. Ireland has long been on my list of places to explore so when the opportunity came up I was really pleased to be able to get the time off work for an extended trip.

We spent 10 days in Ireland altogether, splitting our time between a city break in Cork and a week long exploration by hire car around the south west coastline. We had a base for the week near to Killarney and spent most days on the road hiking and sightseeing around the beautiful mountains and coastline of County Kerry.

I'm really pleased to have one of my images from Whitby on the front cover of the popular Yorkshire Life Magazine. The January 2018 edition of the magazine includes my photograph of the view of Whitby overlooking the harbour looking up to Whitby Abbey.

2017 was another busy year for my photography business with my stock imagery sales increasing to magazines, newspapers and online marketing outlets. Alongside this, my physical print sales (Mounted and Framed) grew experiencing a record year for sales to many new customers throughout the UK. May I take this opportunity to pass on my best wishes for a happy and successful 2018 and to thank you all for your continued support through visits to this site and interaction and sharing on my social media channels.

Last weekend we headed for a pre-Christmas trip to the Lake District for a festive getaway and some last minute rest and relaxation. During the trip I managed to mix in a couple of photography sessions and took the camera out on our walks in the stunning Lakeland countryside. This blog includes a collection of my favourite images from the trip.

2016 has been another busy year for my photography business which has seen another period of growth throughout the year. My British Landscapes Calendar with an increased print run sold out just before Christmas again this year with lots of positive feedback from recipients worldwide.
