Review of the Year - 2016

2016 has been another busy year for my photography business which has seen another period of growth throughout the year. I've not made as many trips as I had hoped for this year for a number of reasons and have mainly concentrated on making the most of my existing back catalogue of images. Much of my work this year has been image licensing and I'm please to have had images featured in a number of lifestyle magazines and national newspapers.

My British Landscapes Calendar with an increased print run sold out just before Christmas again this year with lots of positive feedback from recipients worldwide. My commercial calendars have also proved to be success with a my calendars appearing in a number of forms throughout the UK. The 2018 version is planned to be released in July this year.

I made a number of trips throughout the year to locations I have been hoping to visit for a number of years. My highlight for the year was the week spent travelling around the north of Scotland visiting some of the beautiful mountains and magical beaches of Ross-shire and Sutherland. I made a number of other exciting trips throughout the year to capture the landscape in many areas of the British Isles. Another highlight was my trip to Norfolk to shoot the stunning coastline around Sheringham and Cromer. I visited the Yorkshire Dales a number of times this year on day trips and as part of a commission. I some of my favourite images from this area were taken on a trip to Ingleton to shoot the waterfalls on the popular waterfalls trail. My travels also took me to Ibiza this year where combined with a family holiday I was able to walk some of the coastline and visit some incredible beaches!

2017 looks to hold a continuation of my core services and I hope to be able to get out into the field a little more this year to capture images from another set of new locations. Not being able to make as many trips as I hoped this year due to workload in both jobs and moving house in October means that I have a lot of catching up to do during 2017!

May I take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for the new year and thank you for your support this past year.
