August Overview - Nickscape 365 Project

The last month of summer has now passed, school holidays are coming to and end and we can now look forward to the impending autumn leaf fall. We've now only 4 months to go with the project with the months that I am looking forward to posting most still to come. I love autumn in the UK, as the days begin to shorten, the temperature drops and the dew level rises creating a freshness not found at other times of year.

My August uploads have been a real mix, ranging from bright summer days on the beach with hot, bright weather to threatening stormy weather. The images really show of the change in seasons throughout the month as the temperatures begin to drop and we move towards autumn with its shorter days and more dramatic lighting.

A personal favourite for August has to be number 239 with the heather in all of its glory up on Higger Tor in the Peak District. The dramatic sunrise on that morning 10 years ago is still one of my fondest memories shooting landscapes in the Peak District.

Images for the remainder of the project have now mostly been chosen (I will add in a couple from adventures planned this autumn). I am looking into options to turn this project into a short run photobook for those who are interested in a coffee table book of the whole project.

My 2020 Calendar is now complete and has been sent to my local printers in Sheffield. The first batch of printed calendars will be available for dispatch the week commencing 16th September. I've now opened this up for pre-orders here > 2020 British Landscapes Calendar.
