Peak District
Being based on the edge of the Peak District National Park allows me to visit the Peak District at the best times of the day to capture the Derbyshire landscape in the best possible light. I have an extensive portfolio of Peak District landscape photography, the best of which can be viewed in the portfolio below. For the past 10 years I have been making regular trips to photograph to the Peak District concentrating on the gritstone edges of the northern Dark Peak area.
The rugged Derbyshire landscape around Ladybower Reservoir is a particular favourite of mine featuring in many of my Peak District photos along with the Great Ridge of Edale with the highlight of the shivering mountain at Mam Tor. My earlier Peak District photography portfolio was mainly based around the edges at Curbar, Baslow and the Peak District scenery around Owler Tor and Padley Gorge. More recently I’ve begun to further explore the White Peak area and hope to expand my gallery to include more scenes of the limestone dales of White Peak and photography the traditional Peak District villages.
Many scenes from the Peak District are included in my yearly Calendar. My popular Peak District landscape photography location guides give advice on the best locations to photograph around Derbyshire pinpointing on the map the best locations for sunrise and sunset. The most popular Peak District blog post is based on photography locations around Surprise View, Owler Tor and Padley Gorge and has information for car parking and photography hotspots. My other two location blogs feature Curbar & Balsow Edge and also Mam Tor and the Edale Ridge.
